Last week we learned about the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and the Liberation of Kuwait. We had a parent come in last Thursday and share her experience during the occupation. What did you learn from Turki's mother's amazing story?

I learned from Turki's Mother's amazing story lots of thing about the Iraqi Invasion.
I learned how to be courageous,what happened in Kuwait before I was born.
I learned that Kuwait was free in Feb.26 and that America told the U.N that they are the only ones that will fight back and get Iraqis out of Kuwait.
I learned that the U.N first told Iraq to get out of Kuwait in a polite way an Iraq refused and stayed,then the U.N warned them again and told them that you must get out of Kuwait or the U.N will use force and they refused again so the U.N used force and got the Iraqis out of Kuwait with blood on there faces and some Iraqis were killed.

I learned from Turki's mom how to be brave cause she was brave & went back to kuwait to see her family & if I was her I don't think that I could of done that if I was her mabe I would do the same thing and mabe not.

I learnt so much from turkey’s mom's tremendous story. I felt I was in her mistakes and felt it was my story. When she said the gram other died a tear came down my eye.
I felt sooooo bad. Ahmed who was sitting next to me laughed. But a sad story like that story deserves a ton of tears.
I thought it was very disrespectful to laugh at that story.

From Turki's mother I learned that Kuwait was through alot of danger thanks to those "Iraqi Warriors". You know before I met Turki's mother, Turki has been telling me alot of stories about how Saddam got into his house and how they killed his relatives and imprisoned his uncles who were also soldiers. To tell the truth I didn't beleive him, at all! But when his mom came and told us about her many many adventures I was amazed that throughout all those years, he wasn't lying! And from that moment, I really, really, really felt sorry for him. And remember when earlier I told you she went through alot of adventures, I wasn't kidding. She went from Austria to Saudi Arabia, from Saudi Arabia to Jordan Then to Iraq then to Kuwait.

i learned so many things from turki's mom like the iraqis are mean and the where destroyers. I also learned that life was hard at that time and that kuwait could of been richer if kuwait was not invaded , i am lucky i was not alive before the invation in a week or amonth after the invation because i would be very scared.

I learned that you should always be brave because god is always next to you.Even though the task is to scary.I also learned that you should always save your family from all situations.I learned that the Iraqis were forced out of Kuwait.I learned that the Iraqis started the war because they thought that Kuwait were doing slant drilling,but the Kuwaitis were not really doing slant drilling,so the war started.

I learned from Turki's mom that first there was a war between Iraq and Iran. The war started from 1980, and it lasted to 1989. Kuwait had helped Iraq during the war.Then, there was a meeting between Kuwit and Iraq in Saudi Arabia because the Iraqies are saying that the Kuwaities stole oil from them. The Kuwaities didn't give them oil. After that, the Iraqies invaded Kuwait. Turki's mom was in Austria then she went to Saudi Arabia,Jordan,Iraq, then to Kuwait because turki's grandmother was sick and they needed to take her out of kuwait.And then, in Febuary 26 kuwait was free.

I learned from my mother that she is brave and how
I learnd from turkies mom that it was terrible during the invaision that it was very hard to survive.And thanks to the U.N. Kuwait was free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I learned from Turki's mom is to not stay in a safe place.Beacause she was in Saudi Arabia then she went to Kuwait to help Turki's grand mother.So, I need to help others even if it was the last moment in my life.

I learend from Turki's mother that kuwait was very sad. Also I learned from her that kuwait was with Iraq when they have a war with Iran. In this kuwait give mllion of money to make guns to fight Iran. This war takes for 9 years. After this war in 2 years, Iraq tell that Kuwait are taken from Iraq oil. After Kuwait and Iraq have a war. After in the war in 6 monthes the U.S forces Iraq out of Kuwait. When Iraq are going out of Kuwait they burned 747 oilwill.

When Turki's mother told us about her expiriens I listened to her a lot becuase,her expirienses were nice to hear.Turky's mom told us when did Iraq invaded Kuwait,what Kuwaiti people felt,and what her family felt.1.Why did Iraq invaded Kuwait? 2.Do you know someone that was in the army?

everybody is brave and nobody is not brave and she is still brave in my heart and she almost sacrafised her life to meet her family at first I thought she was crazy but she turned out to be brave.
