National Day and Liberation Day
National Day and Liberation Day are both very important holidays for Kuwaitis.
The reason for their importance is because in 1990 the Iraqis Invaded Kuwait. Kuwait
was helpless against them, the Kuwaitis were outnumbered. But then, Kuwait made an
offer to the U.S. government they couldn’t refuse. So the Americans helped the Kuwaitis, and we were freed in February 25 and 26th. And that is the reason for why these holidays are so important to Kuwaitis.
This holiday is celebrated in more ways then one, some people go in the streets and spray foam on others just for fun, I know it’s annoying but hey, it’s tradition. Kuwaitis also made a carnival called Hala February. You walk in the street and look at people show their talents. It’s just like a really large party for everyone. Not only Kuwaitis but people of all countries are welcome to these parties.
To round it all up, people celebrate on February 25th and the 26th. People all celebrate in their different way. There are shopping sprees. And people also celebrate something called Hala February.

What are National and Liberation Day?
National Day is the day that Kuwait was pronounced a country in 1961.
Liberation Day is when Kuwait was liberated from the war with Iraq and was free in 1991.This is why Liberation and National Day are important to Kuwaitis.
What do we do on these days?
We get out of our houses and spray some foam on houses, cars, and garbage cans all over the place. If you really hate Saddam write his name on the road and let cars pass on his name!!! If you try what I said, you will have fun.
We started to celebrate since 1961.
All because of the war and becoming a country. After all this war for oil we are still the second richest country with oil and maybe money. After all that, every Kuwaiti lived happily ever after.

National and Liberation Day are very important. Because in National Day Kuwait had been a country in Feb. 25, 1961. And in Liberation Day Kuwait had been free from Iraq in Feb. 26, 1991. This is why Kuwait has National and Liberation days.
In Liberation and National Day Kuwait have to take holidays. In these two days Kuwait had too much fun. (In these two days the streets it bees very crowded). Every Kuwaiti like these two days.
In these two days I like to go to the farm. In the farm we play buggy and make parties. It is so fun! And like this how Kuwait has fun in Liberation and National Day.

The purpose of Liberation and Day is to celebrate the freedom of Kuwait from Iraq , the purpose of National Day is when the rest of the world declared Kuwait a country, the dates of these days are , 1961 for National Day and , 1991 for Liberation Day.
When Kuwaitis celebrate these days , you’d better watch out , because these people go crazy with foam , one of my friends , named Mohammed Q told the class a story he said “ Mr. Aaron when my driver went to get something from the store , when he came back he looked like Santa”.
Even though these days sound like fun, they are also days of misery, because of the 605 P.O.W. , when young Kuwaitis ask about this , there parents usually shower them with an array of stories from the past , so if you on these days happen to come to Kuwait , you shouldn’t ever go out late!

National and Liberation days are very important holidays to Kuwait. National Day
Is when the birth of Kuwait as an independent country. Liberation Day is when Kuwait was free from the invasion of Iraq in 1990. Kuwait was free because of the help of the U.N, because they thought that Iraq was wrong for blaming Kuwait for taking their oil. And now, in the next paragraph I will tell you how it happens.
In 1990, oil was found in the border of Kuwait and Iraq. Iraq was blaming Kuwait that they were taking their oil-but Kuwait didn’t-and they wanted it back. But, Kuwait refused so Iraq invaded Kuwait in August 2, 1990. A lot of lives were lost and many people were taken as prisoners. It was a day of misery and sorrow.
But, in February 26, 1991 the U.N united together and liberated Kuwait.
In conclusion, National day-celebrated in February 25- and Liberation day-celebrated in February 26- are two important holidays in Kuwait. They are celebrated with Kuwaitis with their families and friends. These days won’t be forgotten in Kuwaitis’ hearts.

Liberation and National day are two very important days in Kuwait because in Liberation day is when Kuwait got liberated from Iraq, and National day celebrates when Kuwait became a country. I will celebrate National and Liberation day by sleeping for until 10 o clock, eat waffles for breakfast and then I will party, play, and sleeping late. The government usually gives an extra day off because they are so close together, they also remember the 605 loved ones who were killed by Iraqis.
In conclusion, Liberation and National day are two very important days. This is because of when Kuwait became a country and when Kuwait got liberated from Iraq. There is also sadness because of the 605 people who died. Most importantly though, these days are filled with happiness, remembrance and joy.

Liberation day is the day that Kuwait was freed from the invasion & Kuwait’s birthday. That’s why people in Kuwait celebrate every February 26.On Liberation & National day kids, adults & teenagers go and spray foam or go to a hotel or there chalets but mostly they go spray foam. And we don’t go to school for 3 days. That’s why I like that holiday.
And I suggest don’t go outside cause you will be foamed!!!!! But I’m going to go spray foam. But sometimes I go to my cousins. Also I’m going to invite some friends over. And I’m going to some friends

National Day and Liberation day are coming soon! And sometimes it can be sad sometimes to remember all the people who were taken by the Iraqis. And they were never fond. That was in the past, so today we’ll party! And I love partying! But imagine all the other people who could be happy partying now. Isn’t it sad? Here are some things I’m going to do this year and last year:
I\m going out with my friend to party next to the Amir’s house. And I’m so excited to go! Last year we plenty of fun spraying cars, and eating chocolate bars. It’s like the only day I can go crazy, and when we go out, I put the colored spray for hair allover my hair, and then I put it on my friend’s hair. His sisters and brothers were jealous, so I sprayed some on their hair.
We made our hair all spikes and we looked like the guys in Marina Mall!
And then we went out to the streets and sprayed foam everywhere in Kuwait and had so much fun! I hope the same happens this year!
And this year I’m going out with another friend! I hope it will be as fun as last year! This time I’m to party next to the Amir’s house too as last year. So I hope you have fun too this year and all the upcoming years. And remember , always take foam with you!

The Liberation and National days are next week! We will have lots of fun. We will have a five day holiday. The National and Liberation days are on the 25th and 26th of February. It is a day of happiness for most of the people.
First we use to go to chalets. But now we might do something new. I would prefer going to my friend’s house. I would also like to celebrate with my family, such as spraying foam and stuff, and having privacy and relaxing from school. Do not tell any one okay!
I hope we al have fun, Kuwaitis and Expatriates. Because as I said “It is a day of happiness for all people”. But please be careful. I hope you have a great and happy time. I also hope no one gets injured because it is supposed to be a day of happiness and joy. But if people get hurt it will not be a day of happiness but a day of sadness.

History of Liberation Day
The history of Liberation Day is that Saddam invaded Kuwait and they destroyed lots of things like houses, and the oil wells. And Kuwaitis thought that Kuwait will be free in National Day. But it didn’t happen so they felt sad. The next day Kuwait was free and that day was a day of the history of Kuwait.

The history of National Day is when Kuwait became a country. Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem discovered Kuwait, but they made Sheikh Sabah the first Amir to rule Kuwait. National Day is in February 25 and that was a day of the history of Kuwait.
What do we do?
In National Day and Liberation Day the Kuwaiti people celebrates. If you are driving a car was black it will turn to white. Because they will spray your car with foam. It is an important days to the Kuwaitis. You’ll see the flags everywhere. But don’t forget to wash your car!

That’s why we celebrate National Day. Liberation Day is when Iraq left Kuwait, went back to their own country. That’s why we celebrate those holidays.

Every year the people of Kuwait celebrate their independence on the Liberation day.
And the victory of the war between Kuwait and Iraq. And here is what we do on these days.
On these days the people of Kuwait celebrate and make parties and other fun things .People visit each other and say good words, kids spray foam on cars.
But for me I don’t like going out on these days, because there is traffic everywhere.
But still it’s a very special time for all of us.
My favorite part of this celebration is holidays, so we can have even extra fun. But usually before these holidays we have a lot of studying. On these holidays its
usually cold, so we have to stay inside. And this is how we celebrate it.
