Expatriates make up a large part of Kuwait’s population. There are many different nationalities that make up this expatriate population. Certain nationalities are typically employed in specific occupations. For example, Filipinos typically work in the service sector of Kuwait. They tend to work as salespeople, waitresses, nannies, and maids.
Please write a journal entry of “A Day without Expatriates”. This journal should focus on what your life would be like if for one day all the expatriates in Kuwait were gone. Write about the people that would no longer be around and the jobs these people perform.
*If you are not Kuwaiti write about what life would be like if you had one day to go back to your home country.

Expats.are people who help Kuwait
they are people who help Kuwait grow.if there where no expats what would i do .like maids they help us by cleaning,cooking,and watching over the babies.

A day without Expats will be really boring and sometimes fun.
It will be boring cause we'd have to go to government schools.
The fun will be that we can take everything for free and do what ever we want.
Going Bowling, Scientific Center, and Arcades.

Hi my name is Yaseen and im only one of the expats in kuwait, as you know there are lots of expats in kuwait and the reason im here is because of the things you are and arent allowed to do for example driving women arent allowed to drive in saudi arabia (that was my moms exuse)and my dads is the offer was better here than in S.A alright thats why im here. Now expats are very important because they make up most of kuwait.
A day without expatriates would be great.I would get up early and not see my mother and go to school with a wheeler and go to school.When i am there i will not see Mr. Aaron.When school finishes i would go to Marina Mall with a skateboard and steal everything and then go and play for free.This would be my best day ever.But the worst thing would be is i can not see my mother because she is a bahranian.So long expats.
If there no expacts in kuwait, we will not have rules and food or sellers, if one day you weck up and no driver how could you go to school and when you come back from school who will take you home and when you go to marina mall how could you buy clothing if they are no expacts you cant buy and if you went to any restrunt who will give you food and when you go home who will clean your bed room or your bathroom no budy will clea your bed room anly the expact so expact are very very important in your life.
A without expasts is a day without rest. Because I will do all of the work. Iwill make my breakfast I will do the dishes ,make my bed ,and I will clean my cloathes.It will be hard to work,work,work.

workers .Kuwait is now an advanced country in work and I am happy to see expatriates in Kuwait.
A day whithout expats it will be not fun. Because we can not play games like game wizz, because the workers who are working in game wizz will not be there and we knot play. also we can not go to english schools, we have to go to public schools becuse there are no expats to teach us in english schools.also nobody can wakeup us for school and make for us breakfast, because there are no maids.
I couldn't imagine a world without Expats, but I'll try, for the sake of the journal. I wake up suddenly and I go downstairs, I say, "where's my breakfast?" and nobody answers. Then I say again, "Where is my breakfast", and again no answer. So I yell,"WHERE IS MY BREAKFAST?", AND NOBODY ANSWERS, so I go and make myself some cereal while mumbling, "grumblegrmm.". So I go outside and yell to the driver," COME ON,"I DONT GOT ALL DAY!". He did't answer so I went by walking and grumbled. When I went to my class it had students but no teacher, I yelled,"Where is mr.Aaron?". No answer. So I went to Marina Mall and it was completely empty and I yelled, "WHERE IS EVERYBODY???WHERE ARE ALL THE EXPATRIATES???. FRom this moment I just wanted to go home and sleep, so I did and the next morning I woke up, I went to put some cereal. Just as I was about to put it, my maid said, " here, let me do it.". then, I fainted.

A day without expats will be not fun because who will take me to school. When expats are not in Kuwait, Kuwait will be not nice,but for grade1-3 is fun because they can take anything they
want.
A day without expats will be terrible.I'll wake up in the morning by a clock because there are no maids to wake me up. I will make my own breakfist.I will go to school by a bike because there is no driver to drop me to school. But I can not go to ACA because it is an english school and there is no expats. So, I have to go to government school. Then when I come back from school and I finished my homework I want to eat lunch and there are no maids to make for me so I have to make a cereal. After that, I will go to the mall to buy stuff, but there is no expats so I can not buy stuff. I day without expats is completely boring and I wish this never happens.

If there are no expats in Kuwait,Kuwait's population will be 1.2 million.And no one will ever drive me to my friends,and I will not get better at arabic,math,s.s,and science.I have to do everything,wash clothes,walk to school,I have to do everything alone.It's hard work so I wish god will never take the expats away from Kuwait.You to Mr.Aaron.P.S. If there are no expats in kuwait,kuwait's population will be the least of all the countries.If there is none of the worker expats we might no surive because people will be stealing killing because just like what hamed said one of his realatives are from the united nations and he is aplice man so no one will stop them.Know lets talk about what will happen to my personal life.Iwill not be able to eat because there are no cooks and i will have to go to school and where ever i want by walking and streets will be empty and i will not learn any English because Mr.Aaron is an expat and no Arabic because Ms.SHereen is from eygept Iwill not learn any life skills because Ms.Manal is from eygept too.I will also miss some of my friends like yaseen,Ronny,yasir and Mr.Aaron and many more.The expats will be lucky but we wont because they will be in there country with every thing they need.Life will be horrible.

Once again guys I am impressed with many of your comments for this post. I think you all have a better understanding of expatriates and the important role they play for Kuwait. Like Waleed pointed out expatriates are not just found in Kuwait they can be found all over the world. However, In the Arab Gulf States like Kuwait, Bahrain, U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have large percentages of the population is expatriates. In America, they are also many expatriates performing vital jobs for America. To answer your question Waleed, I think it is very important for expatriates to be able to come to the United States so they can get a better understanding society, and have the experience of living and working in one of the most amazing countries in the world.

A day without expats will be sooo boring because there would be no Aziz.W,no Yaseen Elison,and no Yasir.Expats are people who help Kuwait (Q8).If there is no expats there is no friends,no bussiness companies,and especilly no new houses.I wish there were expats every where I go.I can even imagine that we are in government schools,and I am even getting hit by a teacher.AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!Oh,it was just a dream.So my point is "I LOVE EXPATS".
But the only countries I don't like to be Kuwaiti Expats are Iraq,Iran,Eygpt,and Tunisia.I would like America,Saudi Arabia,Qatar,Yemen,Oman,Bahrain,Pakistan,U.A.E (United Arab Emarites), and Spain to be Kuwaiti Expats.
